Manjushri, Year of the Rabbit

This is a design concept, not a photograph of a tattoo. Before any tattooing, the design is redrawn for your body, placement and story.

In one folk tradition, each Chinese zodiac sign has its own guardian Buddha or bodhisattva. For people born in the Year of the Rabbit, it is Manjushri, associated with wisdom.

A small Buddha sits at the front of the crown, a Sanskrit seed syllable appears at the upper right, and the lion below is Manjushri’s mount. The whole design is drawn like carved stone.

This design has been tattooed on the inner upper arm of a client; the finished tattoo is linked below.

A try-on preview places the design on a photo of your chosen area. It is not a healed tattoo photo; the real tattoo is what counts. Only a photo of the area is needed, and it is deleted after use.
