Falling Wings

From my 2022 tattoo archive. These are photographs of the work from that period, not a later healed follow-up.

The figure falls while loose feathers drift in the opposite direction. Lighter outlines describe the wings, with shading giving the body volume and weight.

Movement comes from the pose and spacing, not just the wing motif. The figure, feathers and open skin carry the eye down the arm, while the loose feathers extend the sense of motion.
